Makeup Review #1
My search for the perfect lip gloss has also expanded into the search for the perfect mascara. I long for the thick, voluminous, feathery, fluttery, separated, shiny lashes that appear in all of the mascara ads plastered throughout most fashion and beauty magazines. I can't accept the fact that most of these ads use fake eyelashes. I actually believe that somewhere, somehow there is a product out there that will make my eyes look like this!
The most recent mascara purchase is DuWop's new Lash Venom. I was excited to find it in my Sephora which usually is about a month behind on new products. The Lash Venom is described online as "This extraordinary, Italian-made formula delivers volume, length, and definition. Lash Venom gives instant impact but can also be layered for ultimate drama. You will notice softer, more hydrated lashes after each use.Lash Venom gives your lashes instant fullness and a glossy, jet-black finish. " Italian-made formula? It didn't say that on the box. It provides nice length and some separation, but it didn't pump up the volume on my lashes. I had high hopes for this mascara. Since DuWop is known for their Lip Venom, the first lip plumper to go mainstream, I was expecting their mascara to give me va-va-voom lashes like the Lip Venom gives ooo-la-la lips. I guess this one is going back to Sephora.
Stef's Words of Wisdom:
While I experiment with different mascaras I realize that a good mascara is like a good bra. A good mascara and a good bra make you feel confident about yourself. Both are daily requirements to wear-at least in my opinion. Both create lift, definition, and separation! And both require lots of researching, trying on, testing, and shopping around.

That sucks that the DuWop didn't deliver. I love the bra-mascara comparison!!! SO TRUE!
