Now, don't get me wrong...I like to dress up and do full makeup (if I get up in time) but there are some days I wish I could just wear comfy yoga pants and a cotton tee shirt to work, although, I probably would still wear makeup on these days. Luckily, I'm not in a position that requires me to wear a suit (I don't mind wearing a suit occasionally but I would if it was everyday). Even though there is no formal written dress code at my job I would say it is business casual but the definition can vary after some of the outfits I've witnessed.
Then it dawned on me. Men can get away with wearing golf clothes as their work clothes! How simple it must be for them-if they are golfing they're always ready for work and if they are working they're always ready for golfing. What a great idea! Now if that only applied to yoginis! I could get so much more work done if I was in my comfortable yoga pants. Even though I'm in an office at one of the most "prestigious academic institutions" in the country, I always seem to end up running around, moving boxes, or getting dust all over my clothes. I think I could work more effectively and efficiently if I wasn't worried about getting my pants dirty, being stuck in shoes that hurt my feet, and making sure everything is sucked in tight, buttoned, and zippered.
How easy would it be to already be in your yoga (or gym clothes) when leaving work? No running around in the morning making sure you have all the clothes you need for yoga, no changing somewhere between the work bathroom, your car, and the yoga studio. And NO leaving yoga in your yoga pants wearing high heels! If I was in yoga clothes I would be motivated to go right after work. I wouldn't have the temptation to stop at home on the days I forgot a change of clothes and end up just staying there.
What do you think?
Would you get more work done in yoga or gym type of clothes? Would you be more motivated to exercise after work if you were already in these clothes?
